CDP participation in panel discussion by PrivacyConnect-Doha chapter on Compliance with Qatar PDPPL

The Compliance and Data Protection (CDP) department participated on Monday May 31st in a panel discussion organized by the PrivacyConnect-Doha chapter, via video conferencing, on Compliance with Qatar PDPPL. 

Dr. Ashraf Ali Ismael, head of Data Protection Regulatory Affairs within CDP has started with an  “Introduction to the Regulation of the PDPPL”. He has provided an overview of Qatar Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (PDPPL), individuals rights, and Controllers/Processers obligations. Dr. Ashraf has also presented CDP responsibilities and key functions as the competent department to implement the Personal Data Privacy Protection Law, including policies development, Legal, Complaints & notifications, Guidance & awareness, Investigations & Intelligence, International Engagement, and Industry Engagement.

He has also participated in a panel discussion for the following key items:
