National Information Security Compliance Framework (NISCF) Certification Workshop
In relation to the National Information Security Compliance Framework (NISCF), Compliance and Data Protection (CDP) department, Cyber security Sector, Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) organized on the 30th of March 2021, an online workshop to present the NISCF’s Certification Program.
The workshop started with an introduction to the National Information Security Compliance Framework (NISCF) and the role of Compliance and Data Protection (CDP) department in developing, maintaining and operating the framework.
The workshop focused on the benefits and added value of the current and future Certification schemes to the constituents, mainly improving the information security posture, achieving regulatory compliance and building stakeholder’s trust.
The certification process to follow when applying for NISCF Certification has been presented along with the associated business rules. CDP detailed the requirements that need to be fulfilled by applicant during the Certification process.
CDP also provided insights on the relation and integration between the NISCF Certification Program and the Accreditation Program along with the role of Accredited Audit Service Providers in the Certification process and their obligation to comply with the NISCF Audit Standard.
At the end of the workshop, a Questions and Answers session provided the participants the opportunity to ask questions around the Certification Program to ensure that all aspects presented in the workshop were understood by the participants.
