Penetration Testing Accreditation Qatar Protiviti

The National Cyber Security Agency announces the award of Penetration Testing Service Provider Accreditation to Protiviti Member Firm Qatar LLC. Protiviti is among the first Service provider to obtain the Penetration Testing Accreditation.

Penetration Testing Service Provider Accreditation is offered by NCSA under the National Information Security Compliance Framework (NISCF) to Service Providers interested in providing Penetration Testing services that consist of ethical cybersecurity assessments to identify and exploit vulnerabilities of IT resources in order to mitigate or minimize the risk of malicious exploitation or attacks.

The National Information Security Compliance Framework (NISCF)   aims to validate and assure security within ICT programs, systems and services, and encourage alignment with good practice for protecting digital infrastructure and data.

NISCF supports the achievement of Qatar’s National Cyber Security Strategy;  and complements the State of Qatar’s National Information Assurance Framework (including wider applicable information security legislation, regulation and standards) to establish a safe and vibrant cyberspace.

To achieve Penetration Testing Service Provider Accreditation,  the Provider must demonstrate conformance to NISCF Accreditation requirements as per the Penetration Testing Standard, during an assessment performed by NCSA.

The National Cyber Security Agency started accepting applications for the Penetration Testing Service Provider Accreditation   in February 2024.  Other accreditation programs for NIA Audit and Advisory has been running  since 2019.

A certificate of accreditation is the formal recognition that an organization is competent to perform specific services, activities or tasks in a consistent, reliable and precise manner. It is a cornerstone in improving security within cyberspace by enhancing the quality of cybersecurity services in the State of Qatar.

While Service Providers seeks to obtain an Accreditation Certification to assure their technical competence, the accreditation is expected to enable service providers to effectively participate in the market, thereby gaining a competitive advantage. Furthermore, it will create numerous opportunities and instill greater customer confidence.
