The National Cyber Security Agency has released a new update to the National Information Assurance (NIA) certification service which is part of the National Information Security Compliance Framework (NISCF). The update aims to enhance the service and provide the best experience to applicants.

The new release offers comprehensive documentation to guide and support organizations in the process of granting NIA certification as well as service terminology that supports the service policies, providing assurance principles and overall service objectives.

Alongside the new update to the National Information Assurance (NIA) certification service, the Agency has upgraded the service from compliance against National Information Assurance Policy 2.0 to compliance against the National Information Assurance Standard 2.1. Not only that, but have also enhanced the governance of the application processes by introducing an application form, service agreement, and processes document.

The National Cyber Security Agency has also introduced a new Management Systems Certification Service Standard. NCSA recommends that all NIA certification applicants, certified organizations, and accredited audit service providers shall have a clear understanding of this standard.
